St. John Rummage Sale - Help Wanted - 2022 (***New***)
We have just days left until the St. John Rummage Sale, on Aug. 20 this year. We’ve been deluged with donations, from St. John and St. Saviour, but there’s room for more. This is our biggest sale of the century.

Give us your time and what will become somebody else’s treasures. Bring items to the cafeteria from 6-8 pm on Monday-Thursday, Aug. 15-18. We’ll also have a St. Vincent de Paul trailer on site.

On Saturday, we’ll be selling religious items, clothes, plush animals, stuff for real animals, jewelry, CDs, small appliances, dishes, binders, décor for Christmas, Halloween and Easter, recliners, tables, and more. We’re even pot sellers (the flower and kitchen kind).

We’ve already started sorting, because the St. John Dads’ and Men’s Club has done wonders, setting up display tables in the cafeteria and furniture in the gym. But we need so much more help from you.

Twenty-somethings: bring your friends any evening. You might spot something you need.

High schoolers: If you’re asked to spend hours doing community service, we’re your community.

Everybody: If you don’t do heavy lifting anymore, come sort and price items, and crack jokes along with us.

If you need somebody with a big vehicle to fetch things, let us know. And if you own a pickup or minivan, please tell Pam Young, who has been spearheading the sale all summer.

Please call her at 793-1027.

What is Beacons of Light?
Beacons of Light is a multiyear process of pastoral planning for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Rooted in prayer, groupings of parishes will come together as one faith community. These new “Families of Parishes” will be stronger together, focused more on mission than on maintenance. In the Families of Parishes, we will grow closer to God, follow Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and radiate Christ in our lives.

St. John Dad & Men's Club
The St John Dad’s and Men’s Club is a group of men dedicated to the continued support of St John the Evangelist Parish. Our primary contributions are through time and talent.  We also run many fundraisers (Fish Fry’s – Las Vegas Night – Corn hole Tournament – 250 Club – golf outing - Festival set-up and tear-down - etc.)  Through our time, talent and fundraisers, we have remodeled the gym and Letterest Hall; helped pay for new roofs floors and windows; replacement, repairs and upkeep of the boilers; paid for and replaced sidewalks around school and streets, among many other projects.

One of the most important aspects is the fellowship that we foster for our group and the St. John parish as a whole. We meet every first Monday of the month at 8pm in Letterest Hall.   New members are always welcome.  Contact either Don Braun 513-984-6574 or John Bunker 513-519-9545 for more information.
