What is Beacons of Light?
Beacons of Light is a multiyear process of pastoral planning for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Rooted in prayer, groupings of parishes will come together as one faith community. These new “Families of Parishes” will be stronger together, focused more on mission than on maintenance. In the Families of Parishes, we will grow closer to God, follow Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and radiate Christ in our lives.

St. John Dad & Men's Club
The St John Dad’s and Men’s Club is a group of men dedicated to the continued support of St John the Evangelist Parish. Our primary contributions are through time and talent.  We also run many fundraisers (Fish Fry’s – Las Vegas Night – Corn hole Tournament – 250 Club – golf outing - Festival set-up and tear-down - etc.)  Through our time, talent and fundraisers, we have remodeled the gym and Letterest Hall; helped pay for new roofs floors and windows; replacement, repairs and upkeep of the boilers; paid for and replaced sidewalks around school and streets, among many other projects.

One of the most important aspects is the fellowship that we foster for our group and the St. John parish as a whole. We meet every first Monday of the month at 8pm in Letterest Hall.   New members are always welcome.  Contact either Don Braun 513-984-6574 or John Bunker 513-519-9545 for more information.

250 Club Drawings
St John Dad’s and Men’s Club is started our weekly 250 Club drawings Sunday Feb 7th  for the 2021 year. The 250 Club is a fundraiser where we draw a number for a $75 winner each week after 11:00 Sunday mass. The cost is $75 per number (no limit) for the entire year.

Contact either Don Braun 513-984-6574 or John Bunker 513-519-9545 or download the form 250 club form in the Documents & Links section of this page, fill out, and throw in the collection basket at church.

St. Saviour & St. John Prayer Line
Did you know we have a regional prayer line?  Do you or someone you know need prayers for safe travel, a successful surgery, healing in a relationship, or are at a loss for the next step?  If you have any prayer requests, whatever they are, we have a prayer chain of people who will pray for your intentions.

To have our prayer chain pray for your intentions, please call the regional office at 791-9004 or email Jenny at Jennye@blr.church.   Your prayer intentions are communicated via phone and email to our prayer warriors.  If you’d like to be a part of this mission to receive the daily prayer requests and lift these intentions up in your prayers, just call or email and let us know!
